Oregon State's Kaylee Mitchell joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder ahead of Friday's Nuttycombe Invitational at Wisconsin and revisits her race in 2021, where she was leading at the mid-point before fading to 42nd. Mitchell is in a better place this fall, coming off a fourth-place finish at the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame, and before that, a sixth-place finish in the NCAA Championships 3,000-meter steeplechase last June. Mitchell describes the partnership she has developed with Grace Fetherstonhaugh as they have helped the Beavers achieve new program heights in cross country and on the track.
